Getting first 5K service done tomorrow....

Tomorrow I have the joy of going to my dealership and getting my first "free" 5K maintence done. They were already complaining when I told them I only had 4500 miles on it. Luckily the tech doing the work is a friend of my Dad's, so I don't have to worry about that. I wonder how long it will take for the service manager to tell me my warranty is void. Hopefully all I've been reading about this won't happen tomorrow I just hope the porter kid that puts the cars on the bays wont beat the crap out of my car. Wish me luck.

Hmm. Maybe I was looking to spark a discussion with other evo owners about their similar experiences regarding the first time they went in for servicing. Apparently I overestimated your ability to read between the lines, so to speak. My sincerest apologies. Rest assured, I will read all my posts two or three times over to make sure what I am trying to communicate does in fact get across.

I got it, but if I went to the dealership for service they would laugh at me!

Yeah apparently mitsu wont honor the 5k service claim unless the car is over 5k miles...same goes for the rest of them. I got rejected the first time since I wanted to go under the "severe conditions" plan (every 3750 miles i think). Basically the dealer told me even though mitsu suggests it for cars driving in snow, salt, etc, they wont pay for it. Only normal service plan. So I paid for my first oil change. Thanks mitsu.

Yes, please try harder. There was nothing interesting in your post. I got my 5k service done with less than 5k miles no problem. Who cares?

Why do you spend so much time reading and responding to posts that you feel are so inadequate? I imagine a person of your intelligence has much better things to do with their time than to redicule idiots like myself. If you don't care about this thread then don't read it, it's pretty simple.

Please be sure to update us with a minute by minute playback. I know most of us are riveted to our seats wondering how it will go.
