Right but has your instructor tried the Murcielago yet?
I don't mean to bash you, it's just that it is very common to get "carried away". Until we try one, I think we shouldn't dismiss the car so easily.
YES I own an Evo.
YES I think it's a great car.
YES I have taken it to the track many times, it's miles better than the STi.
But until I get to drive a supercar on the track, I wouldn't be so quick to say that the Evo would be quicker around the corner than a Murcielago.
For the doubters, go download a recent Fifth Gear shootout comparing the FQ-400 and the Noble M400. The humble Noble made the FQ look like a boat. Evo is great, but it's not the be-all-end-all in terms of dry grip track handling.

The whole point of the video is not to say the Evo FQ-400 was better than the lambo, but lambo like performance for a fraction of the cost. The stig lap times confirm that it was only 1 second slower around the track. I'll take that 1 second "stock" penalty for a ~80k vs around 280k for the lambo (just based on performance heh granted the lambo looks amazing.) The thing I always found amusing was for the additional 40k you could do better than a FQ400, hell if memory serves the FQ-400 runs the VIII MR stock suspension, which while nice could have used an upgrade imo.
