Okay last week i posted on here for a good paint shop... Somone suggested daves custom autobody in livonia. I dropped the car off tuesday and they assured me that it would be done friday... They call and say their is they had to get their spray booth fixed and it would be ready on saturday... I called today and they said they are backed up and i can get it monday. Now heres the ****ed up part They told me their payroll was messed up and wanted to know if i could come in today and pay the money in cash... And said blah it would be really good for us and well hook it up and it will all be perfect i told them i would see what i could do...

Now someone from their just called me asking again if i was coming to pay for the car and when i said im just gonna pick it up on monday they asked where i lived like they were gonna come pick it up or some****... Im all ****in worried as ***** about my EVO now... I swear to god if my car isnt done on monday and perfect condition with no more ****in miles then when i dropped it off i will ****in mirk every mother****er who works at that place...

Wtf should i do? This is messed up.. Should i call and be like wtf... im worried they will **** up my ride...

make sur eyou document all of this...that way if something does happen, you wont have any problems filing a police report and an insurance claim

make sure you document everytime you interacted with them and everything that was said

IMO its very sketchy that they are requesting payment in full in cash that very day before the car is even done...i wouldnt give them the money until its complete...and even then i would only pay with credit card

Damn man sorry to hear about it. Im in the area and have never heard of "Daves"... I take my car to Auto Addictions in Rochestor Hills for all my paint work...

They do an awesome job... did my Chockets front end flawlessly, installed my JDM rear perfectly, and got my C/F hood and Trunk to line up evenly.

Huge

(248)852-9710 is their number.

Good Luck.

Well if everything is alright I would complain and tell them that they promised the car on a certain day and have casue you to alter your plans and everything and tell them they need to know off a few benjamins on that price and if all else fails, contact the BBB about the situation! Good Luck!!

I agree with these guys. That is some sketchy business practices. A reputable shop never asks for full payment in advance. Be sure you have a copy of the work order with all the itemized work being done and its cost.

I would check on the car NOW! If they haven't done any work yet, pick it up and tell them you've changed your mind.

Any problems they are having with the payroll is their problem, not yours. If they have started on your car, pay upon completion of the service performed.

Yeah im gonna drive by their later and see if its outside or what... I hope to god those *******s didnt drive my car ne where... because i will sue them for the purchase price of a new evo plus punitive damages as a result of the lawsuit. IF their is even 2/10's more miles on my car then when i left it they better just close shop now.

I agree with everyone else. Go check on your car and see what's up. Do not give them anything until they have given you your car back, and the paint job is up to your standards. Good luck!

better hope they dont paint it neon pink or somethin, unless u wanted that color... i'm goin to school to learn how to do body work and painting and all that happy ****... if someone pissed me off and i had their car... i'd paint it some horrible obnoxous color.

so other words stay calm and tell em u understand, n then blow up after u get the car and u know its safe, and how u want it
