perhaps I should elaborate...

everything made in china is of cheaper quality than products made in say US/Japan/Germany. There are plenty of other countries that churn out inferior products as well, but I'm comparing to those countries that make GOOD stuff. if you don't agree, open your eyes, it's the truth.

Granted there are SOME (very few) things that are of comparable quality (only as of late) but on the whole, things made in China are cheaper and crappier than things made in US/Japan/Germany.

Come on man, theres so many US companies moving or starting new factories in China, Shanghai, GuangTung, Hongkong, the manufactoring process is going to be the same as the US if not better. Its just that its cheaper to operate the business in China, and most of the materials are widely available there too.

I'm sorry, I have yet to see something come out of China that is better than something stamped with "Made in USA."

Well thats too bad for you then, I dont really care where my stuff is made as long it works. I dont even remember the last time I seen a "Made in *" sticker. Maybe Im not as sensitive about where the stuff I buy is made.

That's probably why you don't see the difference between the goods made in China and more developed countries. I check the country of manufacture on almost all things I buy...I don't know, I guess it's a habit I got from my father.

Well, for the record, the Chinese have a history with producing less-than-great steel. They're getting better, but you could, for arguement's sake, say that Chinese steel is of a poorer quality than steel from western industrialized countries, and not be incorrect, nor ignorant. Saying it "sucks" is wrong, but saying it is "not as good" would be correct.

Let see if USA can build a wall that could last ten of thousand of yrs

The fact is no matter where you are, you get what you paying for. Look what the US companies are paying the factory worker in China. Their salary is like 1/1000th what is the salary here. The companies then turn around sell the product for a huge profit margin over here, and yet the stock holder still cries about not making enough money.

Yep I understand, just wanted to make sure everyone can be a little open minded when it comes to stuff made in china and also to clear up some stuff so people wont be bias'd against the chinese. Sure there are bootlegs, replicas, and low quality stuff made there, but there are a lot of high quality products made there as well. But keep in mind that's just not only in China, but in the US too and many other countries. Even on this forum you have US vendors selling US made replicas of stuff and people buying it!

I had a few arguments this week with some people about this same topic, and we ended up being cool and doing some business together at the end

I have my RNR catback, and it's great. There was one minor issue, but that took about 1 minute and zero parts to fix.
