i removed my wheel today. When I proceeded to put it back on and tighten everything down, I think I may have cross threaded it and stripped it..

then I took of the nut again and retightened everything, and everything tightened up fine. Is it possible to strip the threads even if I'm using the factory wrench and my bare hands?

its possible to stip any bolt with any wrench..

however.. if you were able to loosen it up and tighten it back down with no problem i think you have nothing to worry about!

Yeah I need to get me a 21mm deep extension socket for this job. I already have a torque wrence though...so I can set it to the factory recommended 80 ft-lbs tq
