how much hp would it take to do 0-60 in about 3.5 sec in an evo

how much hp and tq would it take to go 0-60 in 3.5 seconds i want some thing that will rival the superman ride at six flags hehehehe silly fast ... so fast u get a wierd feeling in ur stomach

Well, you could do that with gears.. However you may only be able to go about 65.. Hehehe.. Although I am estimating, I think you'd need to get your car into the 11's to accelerate that quickly. On a car like this, you'd be approaching about 450-500hp to get into that range. I suspect over 375hp you are looking at drivetrain modifications in addition to engine modifications. Again, someone else mentioned this.. TORQUE IS YOUR FRIEND... You could have a 100hp engine that makes 500lbft of torque.. Its how you get that torque to the ground and translate it into rotational, then forward motion.
