4 years is a pretty long time, there would be better and faster cars by the time you come back to the states. Sell it and save your money for another car.

sell it and start saving for the evo X when you come home.. Try to save enough that you can buy a beater too once you come back.

Sell it. Ride a moped in Japan and save up until you get back. Then buy the new US spec Skyline and still have enough left over to make the appropirate mods.

i'd sell it and buy something in japan. there are so many fun cars there that don't make it over here so i'd take advantage of that. oh, but if you are actually going to be living in Tokyo, getting a car also requires that you have a place to park it ! this can be quite a problem and expense !!!

as for buying a used car like a Skyline - yes, you can do it, but the reason why these cars are available for reasonable prices is because the car inspections you need to pass in japan quickly become very expensive and once a car is about 4 or 5 years old it starts to make more sense to buy a new car.

i hear that a lot of these 4-5 year old cars end up being shipped to Australia and sold there cuz it's hard to sell them in japan. get a Skyline down there and then go full Mad Max style on it !!!

yeah thanks for the info because after Japan I don't know where I might go to next. So I am not too sure when I will be able to get back to the car besides vacation.
