setup help

have the 2005 evo 8 and already have the aem intake and greddy type s bov....also installed a megan racing o2 housing-down pipe-cat delete pipe all the way back. put on order a greddy profec b spec 2 and hks 280 cams. im an going to turbo trix this comming wednesday to get the cams and boost controller installed and tuned............ now the question is was the 280 cams a bad move or will i get the 350awhp turbo trix is telling me with this setup?? when i think about the mechanical part of the 280 cams i think i am actually going to lose hp and time at the track.... i ran a 12.8 without the cams, boost controller and tune alreadyhavent had it dyno tested till next wednesday. to see i want to know if i should try getting a lighter cam to get the hp and performance im looking for and if thats the case can anybody get me the right cam setup by this comming tuesday??

280s seem like quite a jump. You will probably lose some low end grunt, but the combined set of mods should still put out decent HP. 272/272 is great, but you need to decide what you're looking for. If you don't already know the difference between 264s 272s and 280s, then you need to slow down and start doing your homework before just buying things. TT knows what they're doing, but peak HP isn't the end-all be-all of modding.
