Angry Shaken' My Fist at InterCoolerPiping

So recently I have been having a problen with my intercooler piping blowing off.
twice it happened right off the manifold. Now its favorite place for poping is off the black flex tubing under the intake. The thing that is quite annoying about it is, it's very awkward to get too. My solution, either get a bigger intercooler with piping
(though not really neccesary, what do you think?) or just get hard piping. This was something i was going to do down the line but since I'm so frustrated with it I will be doing alot sooner. So I shake my fist at the Intercooler piping.

best solution is to keep the stock stuff, spray some hairspray on the inside of the pipe and the nipple of the connection tube, and install to the proper specified torque. You can switch to T-bolt clamps, but I used the standard band clamps and haven't blown off a hose in 14000 miles.

yeah i got my tbolts from atp too. They are definately worth it. I ended up stripping 5 screw clamps trying to tighten them down and it wasn't even that tight.

This happened to me too.....and I'm completely stock. Driving down the street and boom, thud, thud, thud. Tightened it, and a couple of days later, same thing. Tightened it real tight...and nothing yet.

I have a place locally that I can get any size I want. If you want, I can put together a package to replace all the clamps on the stock Evo intercooler piping.

Let me know. My guess it'd be like around $60.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

I had the same thing happen to me i almost had a freaki heart attack OMG it was scary because i was just about to get on it in 5th gear and it blew off on its way to full boost...
I tightned the crap out of it without breaking it and i havent blown it yet so i guess it the luck of the draw. Oh and by the way it blew off about 7 times on random highways losing all power before i fixed it the right way...whatever lol good luck!!
