i've been told to try the red with the shim, but with the injen intake, it's kinda a pain in the *** to swap, i'll do it when i install the front mount thats been sititng here collecting dust.
and yes, injen intake and forge recirc is plenty loud guys, i even sometimes gently lift off so it's kinda like a small shhhhhh rather than a PPPSHHHHHHHT.
kinda like lifting your cheek and just lettin it slip out, rather than flat out blowin a loud one. more polite, me thinks.

I just wanted to say " Thank u everyone who has put there input on here" I really only had one turbo car and it's my Evolution. I mostly only come here for any questions i may have concerning my car. Because face it this is an Evolution Forum. All the feed backs were grealty appreciated. I will probally have many more annoying or just plain curiosity questions along the way, But again thank you for being paitence. Drive safe everyone and God bless
i got one better, it was a small rotating assembly that slide in the tailpipe and made the BOV sound, functioning as a windmill would. Oddly enough, they advertised its compatibility with stock one inch exhausts.

what's wrong with bling all of a sudden?
if you don't like bling, take your paint off. hell, it just adds weight.
i have a little bling, it gives me pleasure driving.
as far as driving is concerned, yes, vta is no good with a maf sensor.
greddy type-s seem to actually give you faster spool up at 6vac and the sound isn't that bad at full wot shift change.
i have mine recirculating. I drove a wrx with vta, it was rather annoying for me to hear that all the time. not my wrx though.

So, in Summary, a BOV is not for sound, to look cool, to scare small children/elderly people, or get you laid. It has purpose, and without purpose..... well you know.

i actually like the way the hks sounds but then again i also like the ones that have that really high pitched sound that makes and echo somewhat. i think it's the greddy. but then again they're nothing like hearing one one a 500hp car that doesnt make a controlled noise except you hear a ****load of air coming out

IMO, you should only get a BOV if your stock one is leaking or you plan on upping the boost a bit. I'm sure we all can admit that the BOV sound is pretty cool, but at the same time, it serves a greater purpose than just a sound. I personally got the JDM MR DV to hold boost better than the stocker. With my HKS RS intake, it sounds plenty loud and holds boost very well. After about a week of the BOV sound it starts to get old. I've heard many other people admit this too. My advice to you would be to get an intake instead of a BOV. It will make your stock DV very audible and you will gain power on top of that. The best of both worlds.
