sand in engine bay

sand in engine bay

i was driving on a dirt track and a lot of sand got into my engine bay. im worried that some sand got into the turbo....can anyone tell me what would happen if it did?

did you have your intake out?

i don't see how it could get into the turbo.

if it did, it'll either get stuck on your FMIC, or go into your engine and hopefully burn out, but if not, it'll probably blow your motor up.

that and take out the turbo.

really, the turbo would be the first to go, since if a decent size sand gets in the opening and jam the turbine wheel, chain of things could happen.

everything is stock. so i should be ok? just get everything steam cleaned?

and oh yea, the engine sounds louder and everytime i shift it sounds different now. anyone have an idea why??
