We used to have a really cool dis rep here in Fl last year. He was giving warranty service to modified Evos w/ mods and he even told me personally that if i ever had a problem to come see him. Unfortunately, we have a new rep thats a ****ing ******* and is voiding warranty left and right. I have gotten warranty done on my car with my mods, I got spoiler replaced, and calipers replaced recently.

The rep in CT gave me a hard time. He called my APS BOV a wastegate and said that would deny my warranty. I had to educate him on what a DV does. I then told him if he can get someone out here that was technical to tell me it was abuse or my mods that caused the problem I would have no problem paying for the fix myself. At that point he replied saying "We dont have anyone that can do that." I said "Do you think that is an acceptable solution?" Next day they replaced my TC under warranty. Just be firm with them and don't take no for an answer. Keep pushing back. The rep even told me "we have alot of money into this car already and no fix" to which I replied "you dont have 30k into it yet, but you will when you buy it back (we were over 30 days at this pt). I'm writing a letter to both MMNA and the Rep file a complaint about the attitude that I recieved, not that it will do much good, but it's a start. Good luck!

Here's the way I would do it. Call a lawyer, explain the situation, tell the lawyer that this will probably be resolved with one phone call. Have the laywer call the district rep as an inquiry.

I bet you get a call saying that they'll fix it.

He called me today saying that he would get me an "great" price to fix this....

We shall see.

If I go to another dealer, won't they have the same rep if it's in the same area? And even if they don't won't my info be on file?

can you explain this?

He basically saying that b/c i used a outside mechanic that they might not have known how to service an evo, and that would have caused the problem.
I just asked him if he was saying I couldn't use an outside mechanic b/c I know thats illegal too. I just wanted to take away his b/s reasons.

The guy that covers the north east region of the US is a fu@king moron, he's the one who denied my pealing calipers. they're still pealed. i wish there was a way to go over his head to let mitsubishi know how he's treating their customers! or should i say, former customers

I actually called MMNA today and got transferred over to a call center. Filed a complaint against the area's rep and will be emailing them a nice long letter as well. The woman on the phone was very nice and kept asking how I was treated and what was said. Maybe we should all file complaints? We'll see where this goes.

northeast region rep is Gary Cassidy. Biggest, unknowledgeable pos in business. He wouldn't even tell me who he reports to. Hung up on me about 5 times - completely professional. I can't wait for them to go bankrupt and laugh as I scream past him, homeless on the street, shooting fire at him from my exhaust...back to reality My car's warranty is gone...nothing will fix that fact.

357 magnum, very powerful handgun. It sounds like a cannon when fired.

Has anyone had something that wasn't going to be warrantied warrantied after speaking to a district rep??? If yes, what did you say to them?

Or am I just gonna have to beat the **** out of this poor guy?

I hear you man. Well mine was denied then was warranteed. I'll try to make it short.

Grinding going to 5th at +4500 rpm's. This started Nov. 03 ( before the TSB even came out ). Dealer told me my Cat-Back caused my grinding problem and wouldn't warranty it. So I talked to the Rep. over the phone and he also denied my claim because of my mod .
Inside me I wanted to tear him a new one but I kept my cool and proceeded to talk to him proffesionally. I was persistent and firm and knowledge on how everything that works on a car. I know I voided my exhaust warranty but not my trans. He then offered to stop by my work and take it for a test drive. After confirming the prob. He then took pictures of my exhaust and said " I'll talk to my superiors and see what they'll do ". He sounded promising.

2 days later he called and said he already ordered the parts I needed for the repairs. And we "will warranty it for you" I went straight to the Dealer and got my car back in 2 days in perfect condition .

All in all it turned out in my favor. Although some claims went the other way . If you let your anger do the talking , 9 out of 10 it won't get you anywhere. Calm , cool and collective is I think the way to go on these situations.

Good Luck !

Well so far they offered me a "really awsome price" to fix my car....

Waiting on that price, if it's no good, then back to fighting!

$4K -> $1.5K or none. Would a clutch really affect a synchro??
