I recently installed the buschur stage 2 kit on my 04 Evo and I've been getting a check engine light on and off every couple days. Which i have to check the code but the car is running great and i'm pretty sure this is due to the O2 sensor in the exhuast. Has anyone else expeirenced this. If so did you just get those O2 simulators or I think the flash can elminate the problem too. Any insight would be great!!! Thanks

If you're running the highflow or straight pipe chances are you'll need the O2 simulator. I was getting check engine light too and installed O2 sim and no more check engine light for over a year and a half now.

 

^^^ yeah buschur has them. i thought they came with the test pipes and hi flo cats.
i know i got mine with my cat but i don't remember if i had to pay extra for it or not.

 

Yeah i have the highflow cat.. so buschur sells the 02 sim. I checked their site and nothing is shown. I'll just call them on monday. Till then just drive around with a P420 code. hehehhe

or you can do like i done.(i have the buschur stuff too.) go and get two spark plug defoulers.(i think that is what they are called). drill one of them out so that it will fit over your O-2 sensor. and then just put the other one on and plug it into your pipe where the o-2 is suppose to go. and bam no more check engine light. ohh also almost forgot they make a lot of diffrent size spark-plug defoulers so make sure you get the right size. i think it is 18 millimeters but i could very easily be wrong since it has been like 6 months since i done mine.
