Once you start modding the car all the differences go away. The higher boost, the 10 more horses the newer warranty - you have even better when you mod the 03 or 04 (except the warranty which is probably moot for most people on this board because of mods).

Only problem I've had with my 04 (that I know of) is a misfire code and rattling in the right/left side panels. That's apparently pretty common though.

05 ACD

05 runs more boost from the factory, and has a more aggressive ecu program
Also i think the MAF is alittle different, so most VTA BOV run alot better

Anything else I missed add in....

If you track your car this is a HUGE advantage.

not as much... I enjoy drifting through some of the tighter turns.

That may be fun....but it's not fast. So, back to my original point, the LSD makes the 05 a faster car around a race track.

I'm kinda in the same boat, thinking of trading my 03 for an 05 MR. The 0% financing is awful tempting, not to mention I may be able to get one for invoice.

I have an 05 GSR and I raced my buddy with an 03, stock for stock I beat him in all aspects, I launched faster, turned in easier, the ACD allowed me to transition into turns a lot faster and a lot smoother than the 03 allowed. Plus you can't go wrong with 5 hp and 13 lbs of torque over the later models. An Evo is an Evo but it's the little things that make the difference.

It looks like also that 10.5 hotside helps alot! Something that can be easily upgraded on 03-04's

Mine shifts like ****! But it might be bc i need to change the fluids again since is past 10k and i have 27k on stock clutch and might be causing this. I will switch to penzoil syncromesh this week to see how that works, hopefully it will shift like butter!
