Watch for rust, people in the north
I was washing my car closer then usual and there was rust under my wing. It looks like the one corner may have rubbed a hole in the paint and then the rust took over. I took the wing off and found more underneath. The wing is a nicely made piece accept for the crap metal they used for the bolt attachments. The plate was all rusted, and this dose not help. You can not get at the plate with out ripping apart the wing and I didn't want to try that. I sprayed Zep 2000 up in the wing, it is a penetrating oil that gets sticky as it drys so it stays around. The trunk lid I sanded the spots to bear metal, used PRO 15 rust paint, and then taught up paint. Rust sucks
