Summary: Although I didn't get to drive it , I have to say that this car can be summed up in a few words: Comfortable, Practical, Powerful.
Explain to me again the part where you didnt get to drive it, but its powerful...

i always assumed close-ratio meant the gear ratios were close..not the gates.
You are correct sir.

The latest incarnation of the legendary Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution has just arrived! This car is a no compromises road rocket!
* 271 HP 2.0 Liter 4-cylinder 16-valve twin turbo/intercooler
* Super Active Yaw Control
* 17" Einke Wheels
* Recaro leather bucket seats
* Electronically controlled center differential
* Brembro braking system "

How many errors can we find here?
Super Active Yaw Control - since when did we receive AYC here in the U.S. ****en Typos.

I assumed... Sorry. I think anybody will agree that it's ok to use the word "powerful" even though few have driven it. Besides, the few that -have- driven it said that it was very "powerful"

Hailz!

I believe that is a Roman Numeral SEVEN. On a JDM import from EI, not a new US EVO which does NOT have any Numeral on it... just
"EVOLUTION"

Derek888. I have to agree with you. The overall interior fit and finish of the EVO is nowhere near on par with what you would expect of a $30,000 car, especially when my local dealer wants $45,000 for it. Sorry to say, but I'll pass for now, and then get a used one when the price drops to around $25k.

For those of you out there that were waiting for an EVO, and then had your dreams shattered because of the dealer mark-up. Go buy a WRX and spend the extra cash to mod the hell out of it.

Technically though...The EVO has some High Tech goodies on it. But for $45k, I could import an R33 Skyline GTR, Lotus Esprit, or hell even a used Ferrari Testarossa...

Well, the performance of similar new cars at this price range is nowhere near that of the Evo. And what do you expect Mitsu to do if they want to keep the price down? You have to sacrifice some things if you want all that performance at that great price. Interior materials is a way to bring the price down. Look at the STi, they sacrificed the standard radio.
The -overall- fit/finish of the Evo, IMO, is VERY good for this car. The door slammed home with a solid thunk, and I man-handled a lot of the dash and panels in that car and I didn't hear one squeak, rattle, or noise.
And sorry if your dealer is raping people at 45 large, but that's why you don't buy it from them. You buy it for MSRP at some other dealer.

Im not really talking about the rattle or squeks cause you cant really hear it anyways when the cars not moving. Its the little details that was cheap. If you been in a jap spec Evo 7 you will know what im talking about. It may look ok to you but compared to the 7 which is almost identical you will feel the difference in the fit and finish.

True, I shouldn't really say anything since I haven't been in an Evo VII.
