anyone been price gouged?

lotta cars on the ground interesting nobody on the board admitting to buying at the marked up scalper prices, why? figure we're all too smart, hahahah, me I can barely buy the car so I sure as hell cant just waste 5 grand for nothing, just think it's interesting all these dealers say all these buyers are out there, where are they?, this car aint for everyone, and most of those who care that its in TFF2 (evo VII) or think its *****in are in detention hall doodling with CARtoons magazine , does that mag even exist anymore? real adults with 30k to spend on a car wont waste money they dont have, these dealers are screwing themselves, they keep it up the customers will walk especially the impulse buyers, who dont know alot aobut the car but read crap like Motor Trend , soon the next new thing'll be out there prices will drop, have patience all of us real enthusiasts who arent in the gold chain gang

The Fnf2 reference isn't valid. You're right about the Evo 7 being in the movie and you're right about the Evo 8 just coming out. But you're wrong about the two being the same car.

agree not exactly the same car, but am repsonding to the feelings of some that beacause the VII is in the movie it'll somehow make our cars worth more, like the supra, but people forget the supra was rare even before the movie, apples to oranges people, and no cars appreciate these days except for maybe a Ferrrai Enzo or Porsche Carrera GT

I really think there will be few people admitting they were raped for their Evo's. It's just not natural for a person to easily admit that they got a bad deal.

I have only seen one person on this board who is admitting to paying $2k over on his car.

I was going to buy one up here cuz we got one not being held for anyone however they still want at least 5k over msrp and i said no insurance plus the carpayment would be roughly 900 a month if not more so i said i'll wait and see if they go lower or just get something different

I used to love that magazine, about 10 years ago.

I am happy to see that there have been quite a few posts about people walking due to the mark-up. If enough people keep that up then those dealers should be forced to scrap the mark-up and be happy with MSRP. Reuters is reporting that car sales are down again for the second month in a row. Sure seems like a bad time to try and stick it to the consumer.

My dealer called me today with "their official" pricing. My salesman told me $37k w/o sunroof and $37.5k w/ . I told him to call me when they start asking for sticker. Well within an hour, the sales manager called me and offered me $35k w/sunroof and $34.5k w/o . So at this rate, they should be asking for MSRP within a week

I'll admit it, i'm paying $1200 over MSRP and i have it in writing, but that seemed worth it to me to be one of the first in my area to get the car....

That tis the game gentlemen and ladies. Mark the car up 10K to 15K then sacrifice it for 5K over MSRP. Duh.....

I would like to play poker with some of these "shoppers".
