stupid rocks.

Stupid rocks.

Rough day yesterday I tell ya. Well I had training in Mobile for work so I drove over there. Yea. It was fun. Met some hot new employees from the new store that opened in Saraland. Had a blast basically. Well on the way home on I10 I was driving along doing about 85 (that’s like 15 over but don’t tell anyone) and this big freakin Navigator cuts in front of me and slangs this ginormous rock into the air. Boy I tell ya. I watched that rock in slow damn motion. I had no room or barely anytime to move. So I watched it. I swear about 10 mins went by and me pleading with the rock not to hit me. But sure enough the rock gave me the finger and slammed into my windshield right in front of me. There’s a crack about a half inch and spider legs that spread about 2 inches off that. Looks like someone tried to shoot me. Grr….insurance said I have to pay for it cuz I have a 500 deductible. But most likely ill have to use that deductible because Mitsu said a window is 465 plus the seals and trim and crap. (the autoglass place said they can put an lof er some stupid windshield on for 220, but I’m picky I need the tiny Mitsu stamp at the bottom)

Gah shat happens….and it loves to happen at the wrong time.

I just had the same thing happen but not on the windshield. I have a new front lip on the way so as luck would have it I just had a rock nail the edge of the hood. An inch lower and it wouldn't have mattered. If we blew up the moon we wouldn't have these problems.

I know in my state long as you have full coverage on insurance they (your insurance company) should give you a new windshield without the deductible...

Isn't that slo motion feeling wierd? Knowing what's going to happen but not being able to do squat about it...
