Worth it? Repoed EVO for $20-23k?

I was just wondering if it was worth it for me to purchase a repo'd EVO VIII from a local auction. Since I work at the auction I can get it for wholesale around $20K. Not sure what kind of other damages are done to it but visually, the front window is shattered there's no rear window and the drivers window is busted. The drivers side mirror is hanging on the side. It has boost gauges, BOV, turbo timer and not quite sure what else. Front bumper lip is scratched a bit. The question is, is it worth it? Maybe to even just fix up and sell it later? Not sure how much the miles is but I'll check again tomorrow.

thats alot of money for a car you have to put that much more money into to make it driveable. You can get a decent used one in running shape for close to $20k. I paid $22k for mine with 27k miles and similiar mods as you listed.

Sounds like a bad idea. My mom is the head of the EPA credit union of MS. She tells me that most repo's are bad investments. typically the owners of these cars neglect the car. this means that the car probably was not maintained regularly. Plus you can find evos on ebay or autotrader for around 23k

The blue book wholesale is around $23K and since I work there I could get it a little bit below wholesale so about $20K. I am surprised most people are buying slightly used ones below or at wholesale. Usually dealers buy it at wholesale and sell it for retail.
