Got a used 03 in july and wanna trade in for 2005

yeah, I got a used 03 evo in july and i didn't know that there will be a %0 APR so i was in a rush and bought me a used one and i have to pay 8% APR for 6 years so totally it cost me around $ 36xxx for a used evo.
the question is if i want a new 05 or MR evo do i have to pay for more or just trade it in?
thanks in advance i am new to this.

either try to sell the bugger to payoff your balance...or trade in and swallow the load of your trade in plus the new payment! g/l (had to sell my old car / wouldn't gimme **** for trade in and would'a added on my balance left i had on the old car on top of the evo's payment...)

payment probably isn't that high...he did a 72 month note.

i borrowed 24500 on mine, 7% and my payment is 490. i would imagine his is around 425.

Anyway you look at it, getting a new Evo or any other car for that matter is going to cost you couple thousand dollars judging by how much you paid for the used 03' Evo.

If you only qualifed for an 8% used car rate, then I doubt you would qualify for the 0% financing on a new one. Mitsu is a lot smarter this time around than they were a few years ago with their Triple Zero promotion.

so if i trade in for the new one how much do you think i'll be paying each month?
I dont mind if i pay a couple dollars more each month.
and if they let me do the trade in then how much do i have to pay for it more? and how are they going to calculate the APR % and stuffs?
thanks,

Since you insist on seeing hard numbers, here are some estimates off the top of my head:

Assuming that you financed about 27K or so- based on you saying the total is 36K after 72 months of 8%, that is about 475 a month.

2003 Evos are only worth 23K from a private party and maybe 21K from a dealer. So that means you are about 6K under.

Now add that 6K to whatever the purchase price is of the 05 Evo. Factor in your credit- if you only got 8% on a used, you will NOT qualify for 0%. Say the dealer is generous and gets you 5%.

So the 05 Evo is 36,000 (30K + the 6K you owe on your 03). 72 months at 5% gives you $579 a month. Over $100 more and I didn't include TTL and I was generous with my prices.

It is not worth it. You will take such as loss from your 03 that you will be hopelessly in debt for years. Enjoy your 03.
