2.3 stroker 4g63 or k24/k20a2 hybrid
okay guys, I know a lot of you guys came from the honda camp before you got your evo or still have a honda. well, my situation is that I have an evo pretty well upgraded and a 95 hatch only suspension work. I have 10k to upgrade. I could spend on my evo or spend it on a all motor k series motor for my hatch. I could do a 2.3 stroker with clutch upgrade with all the bells and whisltle or get my self a 95 hatch that will do mid/high 12s quarter mile all motor that has a killer suspension set up. what would you do.

I could do a stroker for 5k and still have 5k to put in a b18c5 type r. the b18c5 type r is not as fast as the hybrid k24botton/k20a2 head. I already have turbo components to turbo the hatch to push over 300 to the wheels. I use the hatch as my daily driver and the evo my weekend warrior. what to do???????? I love both those cars.

if your road racing go with the hatch. i'll pull all day on my buddy's k20 on the highway but his hatch on the road course will walk all over my evo (basic mods full suspension). check out his website www.topsetup.com he is the guy that took vishnu's place in the american touge on the hot version dvd. he is going to be featured in the next honda tuning magazine. thanks.

how does it feel with the k20 in the hatch. pretty fast I assume. I hear if a hatch is pretty set up with the right motor, it would do real well in road racing. I have apex n1 exv, front and rear camber kits. rear omni lower arms, suspension techniqes rear sway bar thats intergrated to the lower tie bar. Upper front and rear tie bar and my stock sohc 1.6. I am upset that my car handles real well but I am going just as fast as my grandma on rollerskates.
My evo has a prototype 20g turbo kit from greddy. type r intercooler. full piping, full exhaust. 6sumthing injectors and emanage, going to emanage ultimate. very very light tuning and 350 awhp. when they get the ultimate installed they are aiming 450-500 awhp. I think I could top out to 600 if I do the 2.3 stroker.

hatch is my daily commuter. I have been reading that with k20 mpg goes up almost 40-45 mpg. my sohc 1.6 is doing 31 mpg. My Evo, well forget the good gas mileage.

he is good for high 12's but on the road course his car rock's. he is a good driver and with hoosers he is always one of the fastest out there. call him he is always willing to talk about honda's. topsetup 8473598869 ask for charlie tell him matt from the evo board told you to call. my expierence on the road course is that the high horsepower cars are not always the fastest.

Id say since your using the evo for weekends anyway, spend most or all the money on the evo. Once a car is heavily modified, a lot of problems could happen and you wouldn't want that with your daily commuter. You would probably get overall better results with the evo also. In the end its your decision though, if you really just want good quarter mile times with that amount of money the evo would probably be faster.
