Problem With B&M adjustable Shifter

I recently just installed the B&M adjustable shifter, and i opt for the 45% reduction. after i finish installing it, i notice that i couldnt fully get into first gear, when i try to drive the car, it will grind in first gear and pop right out of the gear. After i take everything apart again, i notice that the bottom of the shaft, when trying to get into first gear, it hit the frame of the car which prevent it from fully get into first gear. Has anything experiencing same problem with theirs. Also i drive a 05, maybethe design is little different from the 03-04's. Any other 05 with the same shifter please post ur comments. thanx

maybe you put the metal bushings in the shifter base in upside down?

I had this same thing happen. Here is a quick fix: just add washers to the bottom of the metal bushings. This will raise it up and allow everything to work as it should. If you can find washers that are the same diameter as the bushing it will make it much easier to install. This is for the reason that you can use some tape on the outside of both of them to keep them together, just make sure that the tape stays on the sides and doesn't get onto the flat surfaces.

That should do the trick.
