Advice: Seat belts

I just put a set of racing seats in my Lancer and would rather not have to use a set of harnesses for everyday driving. After looking at the stock seats, I saw that the seat belt receptacle could be unhooked from the seat. Do you guys think it would be safe to bolt those onto the racing seat brackets and continue to use the stock seat belt?

I would try to check with the seat manufacturer.

As long as the geometry remains pretty close to OEM, I wouldn't see a problem. You want to make sure the bolt location is secure....Get some CG-locks if you don't want harnesses.

that is the only way to run it. if you have a rmr brackets they are built this same way, retain oem belts.
