E-Mail Address for MMCA
Does anyone have a good e-mail address for someone at Mitsubishi Motor Cars of America? Preferably someone who gives a hoot about how dealers in Cali are undermining MMCA's efforts to regain confidence in the North American market through customer satisfaction.
I just sent this e-mail to MMCA and will send it again if I get any other e-mail addresses for MMCA. May not do any good or solve any thing but I can not just sit idly by while you guys in Cali. get screwed. Sorry if I offend anyone in my naivete thinking that I can make a difference but as some may see it if you sit by and let it happen your sometimes just as guilty. Now I am not taking the stance that dealers can't mark-up as this is a capitalist society but from what I have read lately it seems to me as if the dealers in Cali are colluding to come up with this mark-up and I don't appreciate a dealer coming onto this site and spouting off to other members when we don't agree with their tactics. I will step down off of the soapbox here for a moment and attach my e-mail.

I know this may be futile but I have prepared an e-mail that I would like to send to Mitsubishi Motor Cars of America. It is regarding some Mitsubishi dealers, chiefly in California. Now I know that Mitsubishi cannot dictate to a dealer at what price to sell a Mitsubishi vehicle, but I do know that as Mitsubishi is trying to rebuild their status in North America through quality vehicles and quality customer service. There are dealers who are posting on the internet that undermine this very premise. Below are some posts by a Mitsubishi dealer placed on evolutionm.net I would like for you to read them and while I know that some with in the Mitsubishi organization will see no problem with this I hope that someone will understand the irreversible damage that something like this can cause to Mitusbishi's reputation.

I thought I was doing everyone (in SoCal) a service by letting them know there is a dealer here that actually has evo8's in stock.
I can also answer questions about MSRP, weight, options, etc.
Since there seems to be so much misinformation out there.
Piece Out!
We just received five EVO 8's - All 5 have the large carbon fibre spoiler...
1 - Silver with sunroof
1 - Yellow with sunroof
1 - Black with sunroof
1 - Silver no sunroof

Let me know if you want one.. and can afford it!
Toll free (866) 696-2648 or (909) 910-6674

I'm here for you, man! When you're ready to buy. Don't feel like you have to be ashamed to call me. My number is right there in front of you. And YES...you're going to pay MSRP + $5K or your going to walk your bitter self out of our store!
Piece Out!

You guys crack me up!
Even IF all of our EVOVIII's don't sell right away, that's perfect!
The pure marketing and draw value of having a few EVO's in the showroom is enough of a reason to tack on a mark-up and keep'em here.
So, for those of you who think that dealers are going to drop the mark-up in six months.... Keep on holding your breath
For the rest of you... call me (909) 910-6674... we've got three left now and another eleven on the way.

If this has no bearing or concern to you could you please provide me, as a courtesy, an e-mail address to someone in the customer relations department. As a side note I purchased my first Mitsubishi a year ago. My wife and I purchased a Lancer O-Z. I was not totally satisfied with the experience with the dealership but have been pleased with Mitsubishi. I am planning on purchasing a Lancer Evolution and have a deposit on one in Texas for MSRP. That being said I really have nothing to gain from writing this e-mail but peace of mind knowing that I have done something to try and prevent a negative perception of Mitsubishi Motor Cars as well as trying to help out other true Evolution enthusiasts.
Thank You,

Sorry for the length but I had to get it off of my chest. It was tangling up my hair.

Quick update, not that it really matters. I have sent the below e-mail to 43 Mitsubishi corporate e-mail addresses. I started off with Mr. Gagnon in one addressed to just him and then sent one to their Head of Customer Service. After that I did kind of a mass mailing to the remaining 41 e-mail addresses that I was directed to. I included the e-mail again below because I changed a few things that I said but in the attached portion to follow, I have removed the comments from W. McLeod since they were the same as above. Once again just had a little free time at lunch and felt it was the right thing to do. Hope it helps.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
I know this may be futile but I felt it was important for me to prepare this e-mail. It is regarding some Mitsubishi dealers, chiefly in California. I know that Mitsubishi cannot dictate to a dealer at what price to sell a Mitsubishi vehicle. However, I do know that Mitsubishi is trying to rebuild their status in North America through quality vehicles and quality customer service. There are dealers who are posting on the internet that undermine this very premise. While I know that some within the Mitsubishi organization will see no problem with this I hope that someone will understand the irreversible damage that something like this can cause to Mitusbishi's reputation. Once again, I am aware that MMCA is unable to set a price for a vehicle but it almost appears as if dealers in some states, at the very least California, are colluding to come up with a standard mark-up on the Evolution. I also find the attitude of many of the dealers, especially the one where Mr. McLeod is employed to be reprehensible. It is far more difficult to regain a customer, once slighted, than some may realize and brand loyalty is a company's most valued asset.

I would like to thank you for your time in reading this e-mail. I, along with many other enthusiasts, appreciate Mitsubishi's efforts to bring to the U.S. a rally-bred supercar such as the Evolution. As a side note I purchased my first Mitsubishi a year ago. My wife and I purchased a Lancer O-Z. I was not totally satisfied with the experience with the dealership but have been pleased with the car and with Mitsubishi as a company. I am planning on purchasing a Lancer Evolution and have a deposit on one in Texas for MSRP.
