Mark does work at a dealership that is in fact offering EVO 8's at MSRP. I think his point is that this is the dealers way of saying "not for sale". The dealership wants the car around to attract walkins; it is probably working. They would of course be delighted to wrap deal up for 50K.
Mark has been a spirited contributor to this forum and is fun to kick around.
Oh..... and he can also throw a few himself. And no I do not sell cars, I sell necessary important items - Teddy Bears
Speedlimit...........
P.S. Mark - why don't you put a scarlet M in your sig?
My roommate just got offered MSRP + 00.00 markup on his voicemail. He is on his way to go choose between blue or silver. There are (5) Evos' At Charlie Thomas Mitsubishi here in Houston. They are all for sale. None spoken for - any of 'em !! There will be some out tonight on the lot cause ther is NOT a line to buy them here!!!!!
Screw the markup. If you paid markup - you got ganked! Oh yhea - I use to work at a Honda dealer. The reall MSRP is WAY below what the public MSRP is. There is like a 20% margin on the cars at sticker - thats why you can always talk 'em down below sticker. They make it seem like they are breaking even when you get 'em down a little so you will quit working them. They still end up making a couple grand!!!!
Be smart people - shop around if you have good credit - they want your buisness - they have quotas to hit!!!!!!!!!
