2005 evo8 vs evo 9 kbb

Question regarding evo 8 and Evo 9
Do you guys think when the evo 9 comes out that the value on the evo 8 will depreciate or will it keeps its kbb value???

hard to say.. Most likely will go down in value however in time it will go back up I think because its the first version of the EVO to hit the states.

Kelly blue book is worthless. Use NADA if you really want to know the value of your ride.

it will definatly go down, any used car goes down, very rarely it would go up (supra, classics).

It will most likely go down, it is the case everytime a newer model with updated looks comes out.

Maybe slightly, but who cares? Its a car. Most cars depreciate. Its time to get over that part, pour yourself a drink, have a little fun, and not sweat the small ****.

A car isn't an investment.

I think he means will it go down more than it would normally would (assuming there is no Evo IX). Obviously, a car is not an investment and I don't think that is what he was trying to get at. Hopefully, the Evo IX heads will negatively affect its modability and our cars will be worth more. (There goes the player hater in me)

It'll let you get a good deal on a close-out year model and that's about it, but don't look for it to do a knose dive.

is there any talk about that? because thats why i decided to buy my 05 MR, instead of waiting for the 9 to come out, just less support in general(since i'd be getting it as soon as it was released) and there wouldnt be years of knowledge behind it.

but for staying stock forever probably not a bad idea

www.edmunds.com is a much better indicator of market value. i'm convinced kbb is yet another tool dealers use to try and squeeze as much money out of people as possible when buying a vehicle (assuming a trade).
