i recently got the act hdss clutch. i had it for 2 weeks now, then 2 days ago, whenever i press on the gas pedal, its sounds like scratching metal somewhere close by the gear shift or maybe in the from of the engine somewhere.when i'm on neutruel its goes away but sounds like brakes are scratching the rotors but not. is it the clutch not being put in right? it started like this after my first redline with the new clutch installed.

Are you sure it just isn't chatter?

 

when does the symptoms come? only when u hit the gas? when you depress the clutch pedal? when you press the clutch pedal? you need to be a little more specific because the problem could be your release bearing, input shaft (if evo's have one), or a number of other possibilities.
