03 hids on 05 non ssl?

I just bought an 05 today and traded my 03. The dealer is letting me swap them. Will i be able to swap straight up?

You have to change the engine wiring harness and all the bs connectors as well leading up to the headlamps. It's definately not worth it, just get an aftermarket set of HID's. Anything higher than 5k is garbage IMO. For the TRUE HID look (i.e. audi/bmw/benz) stay under 5k for bulb output.

Because i did the swap.... the harness for the 03 version has 8 wires... the harness for the 05 base is 4 wires.... i spliced everything and just rewired to my 4 wireharness for now till i want to hookup the fogs and adjustor

They promised to do it! So im not taking no for an answer and im not loosing my HIDs

I've heard all the same thing of it being too much of a hassle to do it effectively... I also thought it would be a simple swap but no go... good luck with what they tell you.

Search dude, its been covered a 100x before. You basically have to get the engine harness to make it a plug and play affair.

Guess what guys? I got a call from the manager at the dealer and he said since the HID are too complicated to swap, the performance shop next door will be installing the kit for me for free !!! Along with the exhaust and everything else. I cant wait! Im a happy camper........
