Well i'm all about perfomance so this change will be used for speed only, so not really interested in cosmetics or suspension. Basically i want to able to beat a stock cobra. Besides that i just want a mean street machine. Take in mind this is my daily driver so i don't want idling problems or unreliability. TIA

 

TBE (600), cams (500), cam gears (300), walbro (85), K&N drop-in (70), ECU reflash (400). That's estimated 2000 bucks in parts there. then figure in shipping/handling costs and labor if you're not installing it yourself.

what does a stock cobra run?? i'm assuming the last year they made them had the fastest 1/4 because it was supercharged....???

 

stock 03/04 cobra can get into the 12s stock.

Hey. I noticed everyone is telling this guy to get a Wally pump, but no one is telling him to get a boost controller. I assume this is just expected? Reading his post I would venture to say that he is probably completely stock or damn close to it. I mean becuase without running higher boost why would you need a pump for a tune, TBE, and Cams? It just seems worthless at that stage. Just my .2. Not saying anyone is wrong, just asking why.

I would second that, but maybe utec or xede instead of safc; and what Sayajin said dont forget the boost controller. That should get you ahead of a 99/01 Cobra(non S/C), and on par with a (stock)03/04Cobra S/C.

I spent around 5k and got: Exedy Twin, BR Deluxe FMIC, Lower IC pipes, 264 cams, HKS DLII Ignition, kevlar timing belt, ARP headstuds with Labor and some other misc things.

Just don't forget to factor in labor if you don't want to do the installs yourself.

 

you could buy me the buschur 35r turbo kit for about that much. i'd loan you my wife for the night, haha.
