my trip to mitsubishi...
ok so it all started when my 3rd gear started to grind and the car wouldnt go into second every once in a while...so i take the car to mitsu and the guy whispers "u kno we shouldnt be warrantying this car because u took out the cat but well do it anyway" so it takes them about a week to fix the synchros...then i get it back and its makin a weird sound and it still doesnt want to go in second....i take it right back...now they say that its the transfer case and they have to order the parts....after 2 weeks of "we should get the parts tomorow" and "it should be done tomorow" i finally get it back....i drive outta there and still here the noise slightly...after a few days of trying to work no hard driving, the noise is back...so i take the car back...this time the guy says well we cant work on the car because u took the cat out, the same guy that said they will do it anyway....so now i take the car back to the dealer that i bought it from and they say "wat are they talking about the catalytic converter has nothing to do with the transfer case....sooo...now the car is still not goin in to second and transmission just doesnt feel right...so the service lady takes the car in and calls me a day later and says " i talked to the general manager and he says we can replace the whole transmission"..WOW..i was amazed...so now they are replacing the transmission and since they were gonna have the transmission out i brought them an act street clutch to put in for cheaper labor....so after 3 weeks of "the parts will be in soon" and "it should be done tomorow" i finally get it back..which was this monday...as im driving out of the dealer...i still here the TC noise...i took it back today to see if they could go for a ride with me and the guy who test drove it says "u talkin about the TC whine, thats normal"...well this cant be normal...on the highway the noise is really loud...u can barely drowned it out with the music...sooooo now my question is.. if the TC is still makin the same noise...did they even replace the transmission since that would put in a whole new TC....or does the TC not come with a new transmission... please reply..

They're completely separate pieces that only connect to each other. They are not replaced together unless both are broken.
