Jealous f***ers

Aight I know theres alotta vandalism threads on here so I thought I should also share my story. I just got to college in Illinois( I live in maryland) and in my first week down hear I wake up to find a 2 foot long scratch going down the side of my rear passenger side quarter panel. I dont know anyone down here so i know it's of jealousy. I've only had my car for 3 weeks and the paint is already ruined. They dug down real deep with the scratch and I know if I get it repainted they'll do it again.

omg, this scares me. im leaving for college in FIVE DAYS, i'll be a freshman. Im totally worried about vandalism. Im buying a cover for it ASAP, puting it under the cover, and never taking it out, only to drive home and stuff.

that's bs man! the nerve of some people!! when will they understand proper respect such that if somehow i get upset at an owner for cutting me off on the road or double parking, i dont go following them and then messing with their cars. mutual respect - karma will get the best of whoever did this to you. but being victim after only 3 weeks is harsh!

if you live on campus dont take your evo to college.

I live in an aparmtnet complex across from my college and I just normally walk to my classes in fear of leaving around idiots on campus.

sorry to say, but a cover IMO will attract more attention, your better off buying a $500 car for school, thats what I would do.

Leave the EVO at home. No flossing at school. Buy a bucket car, a scooter, or a beatup ole *** truck for school.

I actually think the wing and just the performance look of the car attracts more attention...but i dont think anyone would actually lift the cover and scratch the car since there could be someone watching...its different if you walk by the car and scratch...no one will notice. the cover might help.

Forget the mods (for now) and get something more usable for day to day use.

The problem at college is that on Friday and Saturday night (and probably every night for that matter) is that half the student body is drunk out of their guord and anything goes. I remember a few kids who got so intoxicated (and high) that they were jumping on cars at 3 in the morning finals week. College is NOT the place to bring any new vehicle.

leave the evo at home. i live off campus by a block or so and mine is in a garage. but one night i got too drunk to even bother with moving my car. next day i woke up and she was covered in beer. took an hour to clean up. do yourself a favor and leave it at home. the car cover is an alright idea but its still not as safe as leaving it at home. i didnt even bother getting an evo until i had a garage for it

Damn I really have no choice... I cant leave the car at home, and I cant get a new one ( i just bought this one!! ) Im soooo worried, i leave in 5 days and people already know I have an evo and bringing it down. I might look into renting a private parking garage, I know that sounds extreme, but its my SAFEST option along with a cover...
