The important thing is that a radar detector will never go around corners, or perfectly block laser. If you read the users manuel, it will tell you that it is "line of sight". The only real difference in the higher dollar radar dectors is its accuracy, and range of effectivness.

So I say, save the $50-1500 and just drive responsivley...
