Just curious who here has run the fastest time, BONE STOCK on an 05 Evo VIII GSR. Please post 1/4 mile times and trap speeds.

Would have been 12.8 easy the next time I took it out but I put exhaust and safc on it and ran 12.2 instead!!

I just ran my 05 ssl with 800 miles and the best I could do was 13.50 @ 100. I plugged in the afc and ran 13.28 @ 102. Boost on this thing is crazy. I would hit 20 psi, drop to 15 and raise back up to 16-17.

With the TBE, his stock boost got a big jump to a 24psi spike and 20psi redline hold, and this was on 110oct, which meant he was able to fully use that extra boost while also leaning out for a 12+ AFR and aggressive timing. This, combined with an improvement to a low 1.7 60' allowed for easy 12.2-12.3s. Well, easy for Anthony, that is...My stock time was not as good, as I only got a 13.1 at 104. My 60' was 1.92, but that's not much worse than 1.88, so I was not quite as good, although that was on my first and only try while stock and with the 5k limiter still active.
Chris from Rochester, NY (forgot his screen name) also ran 13.0 at 105 in his 05 GSR. The fact that MalibuJack and some others hit 12.9 at 105 in 03/04 models is truly amazing...
i hate this ***in 5k limiter. i need someone to post a pic of where to remove it. because of it when i launch my clutch slips like a mother***er and i have baked my disc. I'm steppin up to a Cusco twin this time...

It's really simple to disconnect once you know how to find it...

I think what MalibuJack and Stinkapuss had going for them was great driving, great conditions, and factory freaks. On average, no stock 03/04 owner should expect to duplicate their times and stock 05s are on average faster than stock 03s/04s. Warrtalon could have achieved similiar times with a better 60ft.
