Just curious who here has run the fastest time, BONE STOCK on an 05 Evo VIII GSR. Please post 1/4 mile times and trap speeds.

You could have the fastest stock Evo ever? Then to add just the safc and tbe and go 8/10ths quicker! That's basically like getting 80hp from those mods. What did you launch at? Slip or dump the clutch? Either you are a phenominal driver, or you got lucky and picked the right car, or both.

I think the quickest and fastest stock E.T. ever was 12.9@105MPH by MalibuJack and Stinkapuss

I just ran my 05 ssl with 800 miles and the best I could do was 13.50 @ 100. I plugged in the afc and ran 13.28 @ 102. Boost on this thing is crazy. I would hit 20 psi, drop to 15 and raise back up to 16-17.

Well, hold on before you get too excited. With the TBE, his stock boost got a big jump to a 24psi spike and 20psi redline hold, and this was on 110oct, which meant he was able to fully use that extra boost while also leaning out for a 12+ AFR and aggressive timing. This, combined with an improvement to a low 1.7 60' allowed for easy 12.2-12.3s. Well, easy for Anthony, that is...

My stock time was not as good, as I only got a 13.1 at 104. My 60' was 1.92, but that's not much worse than 1.88, so I was not quite as good, although that was on my first and only try while stock and with the 5k limiter still active.

Chris from Rochester, NY (forgot his screen name) also ran 13.0 at 105 in his 05 GSR. The fact that MalibuJack and some others hit 12.9 at 105 in 03/04 models is truly amazing...

There's an entire How-To written on it, and I've explained it about 10 different times. If you do a quick search on the term "5000," you will see it. It should be the 2nd thread, unless my writing this about 20 times has caused the real thread to get lost in the shuffle.

It's really simple to disconnect once you know how to find it...

Ok, I didn't know about the race gas. That does change things a bit. I am suprised to see an VIII knockin on the 12's stock. Our MR's, with a good driver and good weather/ DA, sure. As for the 03'/04' guys who hit 105, well that was either extreme weather, or good build dates. Mph is hp, and they just didn't have the hp in the older ones to hit 105mph. Not to say that great driving wasn't a factor in the ET, props to those guys skills behind the wheel.

I think what MalibuJack and Stinkapuss had going for them was great driving, great conditions, and factory freaks. On average, no stock 03/04 owner should expect to duplicate their times and stock 05s are on average faster than stock 03s/04s. Warrtalon could have achieved similiar times with a better 60ft.
