whats up all, i have some clutch issues! i running a gt35 setup w/ a stock block making low 500's at 26-27 psi. i'm currently using a act 2600 clutch. my issue is that the clutch holds but not allow me to shift hard. when i whined out 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.. and go to shift into the next gear the gate will not let me in??? the rpm's have to drop a little before it lets me shift! by that time i've fallen out of my power band and have to respool. and for those of you with a 35r, it take's a second. now the act26 is a sprung clutch(basically a modified stock clutch) and that sometimes in a high horsepower car it can be problematic. i guess my question is has anyone had this problem besides me? it's not grinding! just blocking me so to speak! i'm still managing to run low to mid 11's with this problem.. but i know i can go alot faster... this winter i having the block built, and planning on running methonal injection. so i figured i'll be needing a new clutch anyways. my other question is should i get a exedy double or triple plate carbon clutch? is the double up to the task? will it hold 600+whp? i've heard buschur uses the double on his builds! oh, also i'm using a perrin shift kit! could this be contributing to the problem? is the b&m better? i've more or less made the decision, but i would like to hear some opinions though. thanks guys....
