Oh, and a turbo timer can be had for less than a hundred bucks, and there are 'no splice' harnesses available for the VII, so I expect we'll see them appear for the VIII as well.
Also, I noticed in the manual today that you are supposed to 'warm up the car until the coolant gauge needle starts to move' before actually driving it, which in practice is a couple of minutes. Dire turbo damage warnings otherwise, so it says.

Evilution - Thanks for the info, if they come withlike 'no splice harnees" things like what you can get when putting in a new stero i think i might just do it my self. So my follow up Q is this: Will Mitsui be able to try and pull warrrenty based on this?
And also (this is cus i have never used one) so what this does is it will keep the car running after you have pulled the key, gotten out locked the doors and left???? How do these react with any security systems? and do hey allos someone( mainly a thief) to lets say break my window and take off in the car ot does it prevent them fro mdriving??
THanks for the help

Basically the turbo timer will keep the engine running for the allotted time on the timer even after you pull the key out. Now the tricky part is setting the alarm while it's doing so. I've heard already that the auto lock/unlock feature can be disabled which would have to be done for this. Most alarms can be set while the motor is running. Now when it shuts off I imagine it may or may not give a warning beep as if someone bumped the car then it would rearm itself. So you should be fine that way. In the least the doors would be locked with no alarm.
And finally no the TT will not act as an anti-theft device. No fuel cuttoff or nothing. Just simply a way to leave your car running while you leave
