Autometer boost gauge messed up

Found out that my autometer boost gauge is reading incorrect. I went and had my car dyno'd the other day and found out it was reading 2psi lower that it was suppose to. This sux, this is my 2nd autometer boost gauge to give out on me. This one is only a year old. I know best gauge has been covered, but which gauge do you think is the best besides Defi "their a little to expensive for me" do you think is the most accurate?

What kind of Autometer is it??

The sport-comp gauges have been good to me. I always put proper fittings on the back of the gauge and dump the plastic straw though.

If you contact Autometer they will probably replace your defective gauge.

You can find plenty of posts here about Defi gauges reading off as well.

I don't understand why people knock autometer so much. They stand behind their products and if you ever have a problem, they'll replace them.

If this is your second gauge, I'd be checking my install. Where are you tapped in? Are you using the provided tubing? Did you check for leaks?

Call autometer... let us know what they say.

Edit: My point exactly... https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=159088

yeah they stand by their products..great! weeeee! but lets say i made a mistake in buying a ****ty gauge and not know it..later i find out..why would i want another ****ty guage..?

the only cars autometer belongs in are old rusted "muscle" car..

ignorant people with ignorant statements.. autometer has been around for a very long time... they havent been able to do that by builing junk... i run autometer, and my second choice would only be stewart werner... they started making airplane gauges, and still do so today.. they also make a good product...

autometer is o.k., but they have been lacking in r&d recently, and others have passed them by. they remind me of domestics, getting passed in quality by imports in the 80's.

So did you call it in and get it replaced? What did Autometer say went wrong with it? You weren't playing with the lighting were you?

I had an autometer in my evo. Lasted me a year and a half and it was starting to figit around. Found a vendor that was having a sale and went with Defi. Been pleased so far. The Autometer was fine though
