Misc Evo pics

I decided to do some explorative work yesterday (see the 'weights' thread for more). There are a lot of pics but it's 7am on Sunday morning and I'm awake, so I'm off driving after I post a few previews

Starting with this - two screws and it just popped off

And now the lights. They're very modular - again, two screws and they pop out.

In that first pic, is that a wiring harness for the guage cluster pack?

I'd say replacement with JDM VIII or any VII lights would be very easy, assuming the connectors are the same.

But here's a close-up, since you asked. The gauge pack would also need a vacuum line for the boost, unless it was a electronic boost gauge, which seems very unlikely. Also, the cubby there is not DIN sized so presumably there is an optional piece of trim which is.

And finally, here's what I ended up doing instead of going for a drive yesterday. A big *** bolt, right in the tread... unfcknbelievable.

By the way, if this stuff is boring you guys, lemme know and I'll stop.

Man that sucks. You should talk to the dealer and see if they'll get you a new tire.

Well, at least now you know you can mount your digital boost controller and turbo timer in the dash without much hard work.
