Has anyone put tint on their windows yet?
Don't get color tint. The yellow does not look good there. Also, leave the door handles body colored, not black!!
I am thinking of a very slight mirror effect on a silver would be sweet. Now, I'm not talking bling*bling mirror chrome tint..

Sup PePe.
I had my windows tinted about 4 days after I bought it. I went 35% on the sides and 20% on the back window. It looks very nice on Tarmac black for sure.
It doesn't really matter what anyone else does/wants though. It's your car and if you think it looks nice or it makes the car more comfortable for you then do it, otherwise don't.

Yojimbo: Did the same thing on my white evo, 35/20. I had that on my old Subaru too.
I think tint is a necessity in TX... at least down here in Ausitn. My face was baking in the sun the weekend before I got the tint. Maybe I'm just used to tint though, because I had it on my Civic back in AZ too. It's a real necessity there!

I will probably tint the car once I get it. Should look good on the yellow. All the side windows, the rear window, possibly an "eyebrow" on the front.

Just did my 35% Solarguard this weekend. If any of you are the DC Metro area, give David or Noah a holler at California Tint (Colvin Run Road in McLean, VA). They did a phenomenal job! They even took off the rear wiper arm, cut out the tint around the glass hole, and lined perfectly. I was very impressed by their meticulous handy-work...probably one of the best around here.
The Yellow Beast looks awesome with the new tint job...I highly recommend it!
Evo1...5%?!!
Are you crazy?!! You wouldn't be able to see anything at night or backing up...You wouldn't even need sunglasses!
Rev on,
Leonardo

I've had 5% on all of my cars ... nothing looks as good as 5. 35% is like having no tint at all for me ... + nobody can see what I have inside when it's parked, for the most part. Don't forget that my evo is black, and a black car with super dark tint looks
!!!
I don't know about where you live but I've had friends who's cars don't pass inspection in TX when they had anything darker than 35% on the driver and front passenger windows. I'm not sure what, if any, limits there might be for the remaining 3 windows on a 4 door car.

I'm an ordinary tint sort of guy, but I'm sure silver or possibly fade would look fine. I would never do it myself but if you like either of the two then more power to you.
