Suspense of EVO X
am i the only one whos getting tired of waiting to see what the evo X will look like? they keep teasing us about the damn thing for so long now, and we still dont know what its gonna look like, or any type of specs whatsoever, and they tease us by telling us that its not gonna be like the old evos, then you hear its sharing platforms with dodge and blah blah blah, i feel like storming mitsubishi, first smack em around for being such dumb business men, then steal all their data on the evo, its driving me crazy!

All the pics, so far, are fake. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout.

I don't think Evo's will be collector's items anytime soon...
But housedj is right.... if you want a true Evo, buy the VIII or the IX. After the Neon chassis is used, I don't think they'll ever be the same. (Not trying to bash the Neon in any way, shape or form).

I think Chrysler backed off relations with Mitsubishi because of their financial trouble...they will only share the raider which is mitsu's version of the Dakota.

"Zetsche began to organise resistance inside management over the company’s losses, which led to DaimlerChrysler pulling out of Mitsubishi altogether in spring 2004."->I believe Mitsu had to start the drawing board by themselves for the Lancer Evolution which is why they've takin so long to reveal this concept...but then again..that is just my opinion.

Since the Evo X will based on the next Lancer platform, it's also a real possibility that the next SRT-4 will be as well. Remember that the Street & Racing Technology (SRT) division of DC only used the Neon as a vessel to carry their nameplate...with the "4" in SRT-4 denoting the number of cylinders. The relationship between "Neon" and "SRT-4" officially ended in 2005 when the Neon line was put out to pasture. The next SRT-4, if it uses the new Lancer platform, could very well be an AWD car. Competition is good for consumers.
Let me help you all out. The new SRT-4 will not be a small car people. It will be a little bigger then the EVO....
