This may be kind of a dum question, but I was curious does the RS, GSR, MR insurance rates differ from each other. Kind of like the diff between Acura Type R, GSR, LS, RS.

 

I'm pretty sure that there is a slight difference. when I called about rates before I got my RS I think I asked about a qoute for a GSR and it was slightly higher then what I pay for the RS. Plus my agent specifically asked if it was an RS, GSR, or MR when I bought my Evo.

it shouldn't be any different other than the prices of the car being different. Although with Allstate, and i'm assuming other insurance companies, you get a slight discount for antilock brakes, which you would obviously lose going with the RS. Can't remember the exact amount but not enough to make me not go ahead and buy the RS.

 

Alot of insurance companies don't have separate catagories for the different Evo's, especially if you're shopping for insurance online. So there shouldn't be much of a difference if at all.

 

The rates for each are different,due to price and safety features.
