Will Walbro 255 overrun Stock Regulators?

Anybody know for certain if there are problems overrunning Fuel Pressure Regulators on the Evo using a Walbro 255?

(Stock ECU 272/264 Cams - 22 Psi - Stock Injectors - Stock Fuel Pressure Regulator)

I want to get the install out of the way tonight, I had it in before but threw some kind of a fuel pressure related code but don't know for sure if it was related to the Walbro.

I'm waiting for a widband to show up and might need to run it with for a few weeks on just the stock maps.

Thanks for any help

I don't know if a Walbro 255 will "overrun" the stock FPR but the base fuel pressure is definately higher than the specified 43psi. More like 52psi... At least that was my personal experience.

I've had my Walbro in since the first 1000 miles - now at 14000 and still have the stock injectors and FPR without any problems.

I did not experience this with a Perrin rail and 680cc Buschur injectors.
But the car actually ran a lot different once I put a regulator on it. (Aeromotive)

I dont have any hard numbers for you...but my fuel economy went DOWN after I installed the walbro 255. I get like 21mpg on the highway now.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the anwers. I'll give it a shot and watch for CEL's. Like I mentioned, I got some that were related to fuel before, but it might have been something else.
