+1 That would be nice if every '05 owner gets it in the mail

Last line of the very first paragraph:

"The program begins Friday and runs through the end of October"

It is no scheme. They already have an incentive on the cars. 1500-2500 either as a cash rebate, or to buy the rate down to 0%, and now free gas is an option. You get one or the other, or the other. They could decide to give you a year's supply of Twinkies or lap dances it would still be the same amount of money they have allocated for an incentive on those models in the first place. Using gas is just very catchy and timely in this day in age.

This will not spiral them into bankruptcy, it is a marketing plan to sell more cars.

Somehow $2500 of gas sounds better than, say, a $2500 rebate. I'd have to say good call on that one Mitsubishi. Good marketing ploy...

There's got to be a limit per uses... otherwise, one could buy free gas for all his or her friends.

Anyway, damn, I just missed that. Got my Evo on Friday

yeah, you'll definetly save more money over the life of the car with 0%.....but, you could possibly get 2.9% from your bank and 2500 for gas from mitsu. If you are one to trade cars every year or 2, this is a steal.

Where do you guys see it says either or? I just says after you buy the car you'll get a debit card in the mail. Maybe I'm missing something.
