I have seen a couple of magazines here lately with removed heat deflectors ( the deflector is on the hood under the mesh grill) . Is there any positive or negative affects to removing this part or is it just showcasing the guts of this sweet sweet piece of lovin i call the EVO ?!

 

My friend removes his when he goes to meets and shows. He also said that in the rain, his BOV literally had a puddle of water in the port! (He is VTA) I would only do it for show purposes and not daily driving purposes.
