My 04 RS is not closing the vent shutter when the climate fan recirculation button is pressed and lid. I can smell strong exhaust from cars front of me. I made sure the electrical plugs were mated properly to the climate control unit.

But, I can't figure out why my vent is not closing! Those truck exhaust fumes are toxic!!!!

Anyone else have had this problem, solution???

 

Pop out your glove box and look if the vent door is is stuck.

Off-track
broken
connector came loose
motor getting power
squirrel got stuck...just kidding
ect...

 

I've really seen that happen. squirrels and mice
