farmers 05, 500 mi review.
Well i can 1 thing the 05 stock is deff. a better car than my 03 stock.. now i noticed before i modded any power wise, i noticed the car would spike to 23 psi, why i dont know.. but the e.b.c. is in there now and i boost 20 happily..
Another plus to this car is the front lsd, i can not believe how the car wants to just eat up the curves.. there is a certain road i can concure by at 15 mph quicker.. once i put my tein susp. on the car it is the best car i ever drove... and for some odd reason even though my 05 has the susp. off of my 03 the car rides smooth as a caddy. the 03 a little rough on the kidneys.. this car is very comfortable to drive, and the leather seats also help.. this is nice, better handling and a softer ride..
Well i thought the car stock to stock deff. has an improv over the 03 when it comes to shifting.. just a very tiny bit of notchiness in the 05.. so at about 400 mi decided to take the clutch restrictor out.. well to my surprise mitsu didnt put on in there.. either they forgot or did away with them.. but since i was in there i drilled the hole biiger.. now the car shifts better than any car i have ever driven.. now im not telling anyone to do this.. your choice..
Now yes the car is still new, but there is not any of the creaking that the 03 had new. the interior is nice and quiet, and again the seats are great..
The motor in this car sounds better, pulls better, and has nice linear pull to it. not like the 03, where it seemed like you were on it or you werent.. also the car doesnt run as pig rich as the 03..
Plus we cant forget the better warrenty, 5 years roadside, 10.5 hotside, a.c.d., tranny gears, and synchros fixed, and the best feature electric blue..
Thats all i can think of for now... if anyone was thinking of an 05, not wanting an 03, 04, or the new 9, this is the car to get..

Great and glad you're enjoying it! I was thinking about trading it in for an 05 but end up = refuse to buy another
ever again
.
It all goes well until something goes wrong and the dealer blames it on the owner.
. Also I don't know if I can keep an evo stock for long. Stock evo just sucks after riding a mod one

I have to agree with many of the same things Farmer is saying i going from the 03->05 transfer. I haven't opened her up yet (~300 some miles) on mine, so I can give a full review yet, but so far I'm very impressed.
i wanna trade it in sooo bad... but im still paying for my 03... i just had the transfercase replaced last week and now its whining again! i never even launched my car! what do i do...i want an 05... i was thinking about saving up for the MR

decided to take the clutch restrictor out.. well to my surprise mitsu didnt put on in there.. either they forgot or did away with them..
I have an early 05, it was still in there, I took it out ~5000 miles ago - much better. I do think it would be any different for the late model 05, but it could be. I know they used to do this with Vettes. I had an 76L (late), and most of the parts where from a 77. So that could be the case here also.
