I was on the highway one day going about 80 when I heard what I though was a rock hit my car. Didn't think to much of it until I pulled over to get gas and noticed my passenger side windshield molding came off completely. Quality Mitsu in Denver had one in stock and fixed it that day, but I though it was the strangest thing. I've yet to install a vertex generator as well.

Has this happened to anyone else?

This is the first I've heard of it ....

 

Happened to a previous car of mine when they installed a new windshield - the molding wasn't installed properly.

The edge came up and the molding flapped around, I got off the highway and taped it down until I could bring it back to get it fixed.

 

I had my windsheild replaced and this has happened to me also. The clips let go above 120.
