don't always believe the # you see. There was an exhaust thread about actual hp w/e. I'll find the link for you.

I heard the Apex N1 exhaust on an Evo and it sounds like SH I T. Just my personal opinion, I am partial to HKS. Their products are proven. Hope that helps any.

The best is whichever one is fully titanium from downpipe to exhaust tip, because the more expensive it is, the FASTER it is. Plus, if you ask nicely, you can get it free like the flash.

The Air Force is not all like that. So please don't stereotype.

N1 sucked so much Mike (TT) sent it back for me...I have the Apexi GT Spec (much better), stainless cat to tail. Sounds great.

All in all they each do about the same, the straighter it is the better the flow, the less restriction in the muffler the better the flow, 3in all the way the better the flow...in the end it comes down to sound tastes. On the NorCal site they did several sound tests of different makes.

I have heard some other exhausts on Evos (didnt ask what kind) and sadly they sound like a Civic (nothing agianst Civic owners, but it doesnt work for the Evo). Deep is good, growl is good, trash can is bad.

I'm seriously considering getting the Apexi GT Spec exhaust. Is it too loud? Because I know the piping size gets up to 85mm, so I was thinking that it would be super loud. Please let me know what you think about it, because there aren't many members on this site who have this exhaust.

Exactly, well mostly, why I have it. In the past I have used their product, it was good then, and still is now. And I like to be different.

It is around 85-90 dB cruz'n, floor it and Id say 95-100 dB, eh in english thats somewhat loud, and people will hear you. I have not had any cops get pissed at me, and I have no cat. So its street friendly. I can still hear my radio just fine, hold conversations on the cell, and in the car without yelling. I also have the active tail silencer for days that I want to hear the engine. Less noise than stock with that in, and when you floor it, the ATS opens up and it becomes loud and flows more air. All-in-all it sounds deep and growls quite well. Fitment was great, and it doesnt melt bumpers, comes out at a slight angle, but not a huge angle, the angle matchs the bumper lines (if that makes sense).
