Highly modded EVO or 00' Viper GTS?
I'll have to admit the Viper GTS, Blue with the twin white stripes is one of the very few American cars I've always loved. Something about the shape of that car just makes me smile. Since my IX MR is on its way to me, I know what my decision would be however.
I would say it comes down to two things. People pretty much know what to expect from a Viper when they see it at the track. If you want to turn people's heads when you pull up to the tree, get the Viper. If you want to turn people's heads after you've put that quarter mile in your rearview, get the Evo.

Someone asked the price. The cars has 48K and it's a 99', my mistake. A N20 kit, exhaust, intake is 3.5K installed and tuned and should push a 99' in the 600rwhp on pump and 440rwhp min on motor.
Whoever made the Dodge interior commetnt...... it's nicer than a EVO interior have you ever sat in a viper?
Lastly, I keep thinking resale, which is always stupid when talking about sports cars anyway, but a EVO with 25K in it isn't going to sell for 45K while as a viper with spray you can just take it off and sell it.
The rain comment was a little
this isn't Gran Turismo. I don't see rain and go "Oooh let's go drive the sports car today it's raining!!" Those days I take the work car or the minivan. Who the hell drives a sports car in the rain???
About the Z06 great car, greater performance, but the C6 body style does nothing for me at all. They look good, but when I see one I feel nothing inside and in the end that's what drives us to buy sports cars anyway, right?

I own a 99 Viper GTS and an 05 Evo. The two cars appeal to me for similar reasons - they are both hard core sports cars, more for driving pleasure then comfort and luxury. Both cars have cheap interiors. If that bothers you, get a G35 or BMW. The Viper rides better then the Evo and of course has waaay more power. The Evo has better brakes and crisper, sharper handling. I like both car quite a bit.
I use the Evo daily and the Viper more occasionally. If it came right down to it, I'd keep the Viper over the Evo.

So, here is the question, highly modded EVO like the infamous Black "AMS" EVO as it is always called or a 00' Viper GTS?
Any thoughts or opinions are welcome and like many say EVO's get "dicks" and Vipers get "chicks". That doesn't apply to me because I am married, but the awe factor is definately there.
I drove a 00' GTS with 13K on the clock yesterday. It had K&N, smooth flow bellows, exhaust, and a 125 shot.
Except for the long hood all the "Bad interior", "Squeaky", comments you always read about on forums.....I saw none. Everywhere we went every head in every car looked at least once. The power, brakes, did I say power? Are unreal for a stock car. The owner never brought the car to the track, and he wouldn't let me press the button, but we swapped seats and he sprayed it. It felt every bit like a 130mph trapping car. The A/C worked fine in 95 degree Louisiana heat for the 2 hours we drove and sat in traffic.
As you can tell I was very impressed. From a speed standpoint trapping 130mph+ on pump gas is awesome, and of course the max factor is higher. My only gripes are the stock rims, it's a 2 seater, and the long hood.

If you will never need more than 2 seats and dont ever plan on using this car in foul weather, then I'd definately go with the 00' Viper GTS.
The car will not be a daily driver, but it will be taken on the occasional 1000 mile road trip.
Leaning towards the viper right now getting insurance quotes from my agent within the hour.
