there is not a lot of difference between the two windows. the lancer window doesn't have the black dots on the inside by the mirror and the mirror sits slightly lower on it. the glass is slightly thinner too. i had to get my 03 window replaced and they couldn't find an evo window so i took the lancer one. it still fits fine and looks great too
edit: i had my girl write this while i was on the phone.. there is a slight edit, the evo glass is thinner and the es glass is a hair thicker... absolutly no probs with either glass, just a lot cheaper for the es glass.. well alot cheaper, and more readily availible.

personally i'd go with the stock part number because its the one for the car, but if dafarmer says it works and he's got it what could go wrong right...?

I'd go for the thicker windshield! Maybe it will resist rock chips better than the regular Evo windshield...
