Evo, all year long?

Evo for all four seasons??? Is this a good idea or bad? I will be moving to Colorado next year and would rather just have one vehicle(Evo). Thanks for the input/advice.

get a snow of snow tires and you will love the evo in the snow. It is a joy to drive with pirelli snowsports. Total control just a little lack of ground clearance. The safest i have ever felt on snow in an automobile. Sure trucks and suvs have good clearance but the feel and handling of them makes driving in snow unpredictable.

Thanks for the advice. Off topic, but what would be an average 1/4 mile time for people living in high elevation like Colorado? Thanks again.

That's a big reason why i bought an Evo. I wanted an all year round car in case i move back to Colorado. On average you'll be a full second slower.

I drive my Evo all year long and love everyminute of it. As long as you get some all weather tires for winter you'll be fine. Dont try the Advans in the snow or ice they very very slippery.

High 13's (stock) seem to be the best times up here. I have yet to get on a 1/4 mile track with my car. I did manage to get a 5.13 0-60 on the street (all stock).

Ah, jago, I haven't seen your name yet. I'm moving to C-springs next month. There are guys up there running high 11s and low 12s in the Midwest forum, though, so it's not too awful.

The most fun ive had with my evo was on the ice at my lakehouse. Im actually looking forward to snow just so i can slide around. The car handles like a dream, if you have the right tires on.

I'll be stationed in Colorado Springs actually. Are there quite a few others from that area???? Any performance shops/tuners in that area also?

I haven't been able to find many at all. I'll be starting up the Rocky Mountain Evo Club, though, so be on the lookout. There is a decently-sized group of Evos in Denver, then a smattering of others in Wyoming and other parts of CO.
